The Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Pakistan is seeking a qualified and experienced Technical Advisor (MP-1 Scale) to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting chance to contribute your expertise to the development and management of Pakistan’s maritime sector.
The Opportunity:
As the Technical Advisor, you will play a key role in providing strategic advice and support to the Ministry on various maritime affairs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting research and analysis on maritime policies and regulations.
- Developing and implementing strategies for port development and management.
- Advising on issues related to shipping, naval sciences, and maritime business.
- Contributing to the formulation and implementation of maritime projects.
- Liaising with domestic and international stakeholders in the maritime industry.
Who They Are Looking For:
- A Ph.D. in Ports/Shipping/Naval Sciences/Maritime Sciences/Maritime Business & Management from a globally recognized university with at least 14 years of professional experience.
- OR a Master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 18 years of experience in the maritime field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Contract:
- The initial contract term is for 3 years, with the possibility of a 2-year extension based on performance.
- You will receive a competitive salary based on the MP-1 Scale in accordance with the Government’s Management Position Scale Policy.
