The Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is seeking a qualified and experienced Director General to lead the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in Islamabad. The FDE plays a vital role in shaping the educational landscape of the capital city. The Opportunity
As Director General, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the FDE. This includes developing and implementing educational programs, managing a large budget, and ensuring that all schools under the FDE’s purview meet national education standards. You will also be responsible for building strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and community leaders.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (minimum 18 years of education) in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, economics, management, public policy, public administration, law, or education leadership from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university in Pakistan.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in educational management, accounting, finance, economics, public policy, public administration, or law.
- At least 5 years of experience at a senior management level or a minimum of 3 years as the head of a public or private sector organization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for education and a commitment to improving the lives of students.
