Pakistan Railways is seeking a qualified and experienced Deputy Director (Infrastructure) to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the “Strengthening of Planning, Development, Monitoring & Evaluation Directorate (SPD&ME)” project within the Ministry of Railways, Islamabad.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate development projects within the infrastructure sector.
  • Utilize your expertise in civil engineering (or a related field) to contribute to infrastructure development initiatives.
  • Leverage your project management skills to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Utilize advanced software for monitoring and evaluation purposes (an advantage).
  • Apply your knowledge of MS Project/Prima Vera and MS Office to enhance project management efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline)
  • Additional qualification in Project Management (preferred)
  • Minimum 16 years of education with degrees recognized by PEC/HEC
  • Overall seven (7) years of post-qualification experience

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years experience managing, monitoring, and evaluating development projects.
  • Prior experience with infrastructure development projects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with advanced monitoring and evaluation software is preferred.

Contract Details:

  • This is a contract position with a starting duration of one year, with potential yearly extensions based on performance until project completion.
  • The position offers a competitive salary package under the Project Pay Scales (PPS).
